This book contains dampening studies, pedaling studies, as well as solo pieces for the development of the basic vibraphone technique. It is also possible to practice improvisation with some of these pieces, as some of the pieces have an extra part with chords only, to be performed by a second mallet player (marimba). Besides their pedagogical nature, these pieces are fun to play and can also be used as concert pieces in student recitals. Included: 2 Dampening Etudes, 2 Pedaling Etudes, Children Song, Etude in Blues, Etude in Bossa, Minor Blues, and My Dear Friend.
