Program Note
I wrote this book for my students of the University of Miami during my sabbatical leave in 2008, when I went to Rio for research and to parade at the carnival with the Escola de Samba Viradouro..
It is very pedagogical and teaches the very basic technique and the proper swing of the main instruments and rhythms from Brazilian music.
